The Cargo plane is said to have crashed on Kafinda Mountain, 25 kilometers from Uvira City in the south Kivu Province. The Aircraft which according to DRC sources belongs to the UN had taken off from Bujumbura airport in Burundi. Territorial authorities in Uvira state that it had started its journey from Entebbe in Uganda and went to Congo Brazzaville before making a stopover in Bujumbura airport to refuel.
